Key Responsibilities
- •Owned backend logic and API integration across Makaanza and HairZone in a lean two-developer team, translating product requirements into validated services, data workflows, mobile integrations, and testable edge cases.
- •Built and tested 9+ HairZone backend modules covering business profiles, services, availability, appointments, payments, notifications, reporting, and media workflows using Express, MongoDB, Stripe, and Cloudinary.
- •Implemented booking lifecycle logic and edge-case handling for availability, conflicting appointments, cancellations, payment failures, and notification updates across the React Native application and backend services.
- •Built Makaanza marketplace workflows using React Native, Supabase, and authentication, request validation, business rules, and database operations.
- •Built 7 HR modules covering employees, authentication, attendance, payroll, leave, documents, and onboarding; also created its GitLab CI/CD pipeline, reducing deployment time by about 20 minutes per release.
- •Diagnosed an AWS deployment failure within a few hours using CloudWatch, IAM, and environment-configuration debugging; wrote unit, integration, API, and Playwright end-to-end tests.
- •Integrated Stripe, Cloudinary, Supabase, AWS, and REST APIs while coordinating validation and database workflows with project managers and a senior reviewer.
